DemoSat Balloon payload recovery
HELIOS V is a High Altitude Student Platform payload that flew this September. Its mission was to track and capture images of the Sun from the stratosphere to test an alternate way to complete solar observation.
Thomas Martinez is a student at Pueblo Community College working on a mechatronic engineering degree. Thomas is currently the team leader for two balloon payloads and is also involved with the autonomous robotics projects at PCC. Thomas is currently unsure about his plans after he finishes his degree, but does plan to work on Space Grant projects as long as possible.
