the rules
of the competition. 2.
Sign up for the COSGC-Symposium Group.
You will receive all pertinent symposium information through our Google
Group. All paper authors should signup for this email group.
3. Keep a close eye on the Deadlines.
4. Submit your Abstract.
Email your Abstract to
brian.sanders@colorado.edu with "[SG Symposium] <Your title>" in the
subject line. If you don't hear back from me in 3 days call to
make sure I got it. Here are some hints if you have not written an
abstract before.
An abstract should be a
paragraph covering the following main points. If your research is
currently in progress, you might not have the final results and
conclusions completed and if this is the case, discuss your anticipated
results and conclusions.
Paper Title - Short
title
Motivation - Why do we
care about the problem?
Problem statement - What
problem are you trying to solve?
Approach - How will you
go about solving the problem?
Result - What do you
hope to find?
Conclusions - What are
the anticipated implications of your result.
5. Submit your Paper
Email your paper to
brian.sanders@colorado.edu with "[SG Symposium] <Your title>"
in the subject line. If you don't hear from me, call to
make sure I got it. Please call me
(303-492-5451 or my cell 303-258-6339) if you are uploading your file so
I know to collect it.
6. Submit your Presentation (Collected
morning of Symposium)
Your presentation is due the
morning of the Symposium and it will be collected at 8:30 before the
official start of the Symposium. Your presentation along with your
paper will be apart of the official proceedings.
