The Space Grant Outreach Team mission statement
The Outreach Team of COSGC is dedicated to bringing the wonders of science and engineering to K-12 students. By introducing the concepts of our satellite missions to young students, we pave the road for future engineers and scientists. We emphasize hands-on, experiential learning as to allow students to ask their own questions and discover their own answers. We are committed to engaging all students equally, so we make it part of our mission to focus on under-funded schools and under-represented students. We realize our mission through tours, classroom visits, hand-on activities, and special projects.
How industry can help us out
Space Grant leverages curricula already in circulation and creates mission specific modules based on current research. You can support the program in many ways - If you'd like to come into a classroom, you are most welcome! We love to receive donations of hardware or other supplies that can be used with our K-12 students. We can also use funding to support our successful program that we run on a shoe-string budget. You can make a general donation, or choose to support specific programs.
