COSGC Undergraduate Symposium Submission Process

 

1.  Read and Understand Symposium Rules.

 

2.  Email your Abstract to Bernadette Garcia at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with "[SG Symposium] <Your title>" in the subject line.  If you don't hear back from us in 3 days, call to make sure we got it.  Here are some hints if you have not written an abstract before.  

An abstract should be a paragraph or two covering the following main points.   No more than one page.  If your research is currently in progress, you might not have the final results and conclusions completed and if this is the case, discuss your anticipated results and conclusions.

 

Paper Title - Short title

Authors - Listing of Authors, institution affiliation, and email address of all authors.

Motivation - Why do we care about the problem?

Problem statement - What problem are you trying to solve?

Approach - How will you go about solving the problem?

Result - What do you hope to find?

Conclusions - What are the anticipated implications of your result.

4.  Submit your Presentation 

Please also bring a copy on USB drive and submit it during registration at 8:15am before the official start of the Symposium.  Your presentation along with your paper will be apart of the official proceedings.
