Welcome to the Citizen Explorer 1 web site. CX-1 is the first in a series of the Earth orbiting satellites from Colorado Space Grant Consortium. It is designed, built and operated by college students. This project involves K-12 schools all over the world as ground stations, bringing space one step closer to the classroom.

How does it work?
