THIS WORKSHOP IS AMAZING!  If you want proof, look at the pictures from the workshops in 2008, 2009, 2010, 20112012, 20132014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.  You will build a REAL sounding rocket payload then LAUNCH it on a two stage Terrier-Orion rocket (weather permitting).  The logistics associated with the RockOn Workshop are great and we need an accurate count on the number of participants before May 3, 2019.  Space is limited and your registration does not hold your spot until payment is received.  The $940 registration ($850 if you register before March 8, 2019) may seem large (it was $1699 several years ago) but it includes: a hot breakfast and lunch each day of the workshop, a special dinner on the last day, workshop handbook, a shirt, all RockOn payload materials, and launch costs.  There is a ~5% fee charged for credit card payments.  Participants will work in teams of three.  Each team will build one RockOn payload.  Participants pick their teams and participants will decide how to divide up the provided hardware before the conclusion of the workshop.  Each participant MUST be present on the first day (Friday, June 15, 2019 1:00 PM) for the start of the workshop.  Please see the Travel and Lodging Information for more information.

The workshop is open to all interested with the following conditions:

1.  Participants MUST know how to solder and MUST have practiced before attending the workshop.

2.  Participants MUST be familiar with the Arduino programming language.  All the code is provided during the workshop so don't let this deter you from coming to the workshop.

3.  Participants MUST be a U.S. Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident).  Due to security requirements at Wallops Flight Facility, U.S. Person status is required.  If you are not a U.S. person, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. before proceeding.

4.  Workshop is designed for college students and college faculty.  If you are a high school student, you may attend the workshop but you will need to have a chaperon or mentor attend with you.

* Launch day is scheduled for June 20, 2019 but the back-up date is June 21, 2019.  Please plan accordingly.
