Integrated Subsystem Testing Review (ISTR)

The Integrated Subsystem Testing Review is an interim review designed to summarize the results of full system integration and testing. Integration of subsystems almost never goes as well as planned, so it is important to start integration and perform fit checks early to mitigate issues well in advance of delivery. Pending successful integration, testing of connected subsystems ensures that steps are being made in the direction of a full Day In The Life (DITL) test. If interfaces or communication between subsystems fails at this point in the project, there is still time to resolve these issues. The format of the review is a presentation that will be given via a teleconference with. All ISTR delieverables shall be submitted to Chris Koehler via your team's Dropbox folder at least 8 hours before your scheduled review time.

Your presentation should focus on the following elements:

1. Brief Experiment Overview (for completeness)

2. Interfaces and how well (or poorly) subsystems connected together into the full system

3. LOTS of pictures of the integrated subsystems

4. Descriptions of tests completed and a summary of the results

5. Conclusions: What actions items came out of the integration and testing?
